Thank you for expressing your interest in becoming a volunteer mentor with The Mentor Coach Foundation (TMCF). You have taken the first step towards impacting someone’s life by establishing a strong one-on-one mentoring relationship based on interests and developing their social and communication skills.
Current Programs:
One-to-One Community Based Mentoring
• Mentors and mentees meet in the community for activities based on interests.
• Match will work towards achieving developmental goals and enriching the mentee’s social skills and interests.
• Mentors are required to meet with their mentee for a minimum or 4 – 6 hours per month.
• Mentors are matched with only ONE mentee.
• Matches will receive evidence-based training geared towards building the skills of their mentee.
• Matches will be routinely monitored for quality and support.
Requirements:
• Applicants are required to be 21 years of age or older.
• Applicants are required to maintain a one-year commitment with a youth/young adult.
• Applicants are required to successfully complete a volunteer interview, and possibly a level 2 FBI background screening and Driver’s License screening.
• Applicants are required to attend several TMCF training sessions.
